City festival

BACKGROUND:
A great discovery: when one places a map of Belgrade over a map of the world, by amazing
coincidence locations sharing the same symbolical and architectural context overlap.
For example, old part of the city overlaps with Europe, New Belgrade is at the place of America,
the largest uninhabited island in Belgrade coincides with Grenland, Roma inhabited suburb
shares location with India… and many more.
IDEA:
Belgrade is the wold! The 4-days celebration took place on four different locations in Belgrade.
The program in each one was inspired by the geographical ‘pair” on the map of the world.
RESULTS:
-Brand awareness: previously almost anonymous manifestation now became the talk of the city there
is no citizen of Belgrade who is not aware of the celebration
-Belgrade city authorities are planning to make “Belgrade is the world” a regular annual
international art fair
