October Salon is a representative manifestation of accomplishments in the field of visual art, found and funded by the City of Belgrade. Back in 1960, it started as an exhibition of the best works of fine arts, and went on to become, by 1967, an important review of current tendencies in applied arts, as well.
The concept of the exhibition revolves around the notion of “cacophonies.” The title, THE MARVELOUS CACOPHONY, reflects the thought about art in the last several decades, as the art world has become increasingly, “cacophonous,” as has the world itself in general.
