New Moment No. 33

Magazine for art & advertising

From introduction: " From the very beginning, New Moment magazine has been a true exemplar of the Art of the impossible:
Luxury editions coming from a country that was falling apart in war and economic collapse.
Magazine everybody wanted to have, but nobody read, according to one of the internal jokes.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that subject of this issue is yet another paradox:
An advertising scene that was being formed in a system without a market economy. Iconic advertising campaigns created in times before the fall of the Berlin Wall, when nothing more than propaganda has been expected to come from this part of Europe.
This issue is a patchwork of personal stories of both participants (many of them original pioneers of advertising in the region) and witnesses – people who, in one way or another, got in touch with creativity from the East.
This history is neither chronological nor final. It did not have an ambition to be The History,
but rather the first chapter of a big story waiting to be told.
Welcome to the issue No33!
